Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Ground Crew Member. As a member of our ground crew, you will work alongside our experienced arborists to provide exceptional tree care services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a strong work ethic, as well as a willingness to learn and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

Assist arborists with tree pruning, removals, and maintenance tasks.

Operate and maintain equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools.

Operate large trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner

Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment and vehicles

Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials from trucks and trailers

Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper tree care practices.

Clean up debris and maintain a tidy work area.

Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Requirements:

Previous experience in tree care or related field preferred, but not required.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding situations.

Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is not required but is preferred. Possessing one may result in higher earning potential due to expanded job responsibilities and opportunities.

Experience operating large trucks and trailers

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced arborists.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs, on a regular basis.

Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed outdoors, in various weather conditions and at heights.

May require work on weekends or holidays as needed (very rarely)

Safety equipment, including hard hat, eye and ear protection, and chainsaw protective chaps are provided.
